Installation artist Amanda King will build a giant sculptural Tasmanian devil out of flexible bamboo and recycled material.
This little devil will take shape throughout the Festival week, growing out of the Parliament House Lawns.
We need your help to create its colourful fur. Join in workshops, explore recycled art, donate your recyclables and help create colourful flowers to be part of this interactive community arts project. Drop by to get involved!
Festival goers can find out more about the efforts being made to save the devil in the wild and meet the team from the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program and Appeal.
You can help by collecting recycled materials, plastic bottles, yoghurt containers, empty plastic cups and cardboard.
Please contact the Festival Office on 6238 2100 to arrange a delivery of recycled materials to the site.
Join in the workshops to help create the devil’s fur, and be part of this interactive community arts project.
Amanda creates original and dynamic artwork for festivals specialising in participatory projects, from children's workshops, to sustained community programs that draw on multicultural themes and cultural practices.
