The Winery
The 2011 Taste Festival will feature a brand new area, The Winery, dedicated to the pleasures of fine Tasmanian wines and the delicacies that go with them.
Situated in the Taste Forecourt, the State’s best boutique wineries will offer a tasting range (including limited releases), and visiting and local experts will give talks, wine lessons and guided tastings. With a new shaded seating area, a dedicated ‘tasting arena’, and a seven-day program of wine events – hosted by respected Tasmanian wine judge, Tim Goddard – this is sure to be the coolest addition to the Festival.
Vertical tastings, in-depth comparisons of Tasmanian wines against imports, regional variations, rare vintages… take the opportunity to learn about the very best that Tasmanian vineyards produce. It’s the perfect opportunity to expand your knowledge and excite your tastebuds!
All tasting sessions will include 8 wines, unless specified, plus a question and answer session with the presenter
