Cadbury Taste Theatre

At Cadbury Taste Theatre.

The Cadbury Taste Theatre continues to be one of the Festival’s hottest drawcards, and for good reason: it’s a unique opportunity to meet, and enjoy master classes, with some of the country’s most famous chefs and artisan producers – most of them Tasmanian! Don’t miss your chance to be a part of these unique events:

  • Cheesemaker Nick Haddow will do a special session on hand-crafted artisan cheeses, with tastings
  • Master patissier and chocolate maker Chris Walton demonstrates high-end cake and chocolate work
  • Biil Lark will give a session on the dream run that Tasmanian single malt whiskies are enjoying on the world stage at the moment
  • Fabian Christoph, rising star chef  from Restaurant 373, will demonstrate dishes from his new project restaurant in Hobart, the Mill on Morrison
  • Frances Bender, the live-wire proprietor of Huon Aquaculture will talk about a new super-premium Tasmanian salmon product
  • ‘Basque Gastronomy’ presented by Jahan Patterson-Were, takes a look at culinary art in the famous Pyrenees region, following his stage at three Michelin-star restaurant Arzak
  • Ashley Huntington, co-owner of Two Metre Tall Brewing Company, talks about their remarkable success in the Derwent Valley – brewing on the lunatic fringe!
  • Charlotte Brown of the The Old Cable Station in Stanley, talks on the emergence of cooperative regional cuisine in Tasmania’s north
  • Jack Lark, world-travelled Junior MasterChef contestant, talks about what it’s like to cook with uber-chef Heston Blumenthal in the UK
