The Half Way Mark
We are half way through the year, heading towards the winter solstace and at the transition stage of festival planning, that is, when your festival is in late December and early January. The Taste team is beginning to make the transition from the dreaming, planning, and shuffling ideas and concepts to the hard end side of things. We are starting to lock down decisions, confirm the site plan, finalise event concepts, secure partnerships, and starting to weave together the threads of the event plans.
We are working to entice a few more sponsors, start selling guide advertisements and importantly the stallholders applications and artists and community/cultural expressions if interests are open for another month, closing 24th July. We will then begin the exciting process of confirming artists, putting together stage line ups and endeavouring to ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy over Summer 2008 –09.
