The Taste Festival continues to be a leader in environmental event management. The 2011 Festival:
- uses a four-stream recycling system;
- ensures all stalls use carbon neutral and compostable crockery and cutlery; and
- all Festival marketing material is produced locally and printed on sustainable paper stock.
We are continuously working to reduce our carbon footprint and we offset part of our emissions through the purchase of renewable carbon credits. We ask visitors to the Festival to please help in assisting us to reduce our carbon footprint and run a cleaner and more sustainable event. Walk, cycle, carpool or catch a bus to the Festival, and Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and look out for the Festival Garbologists who can offer you tips on recycling!
